UX/UI Design for award-winning jewellery boutique, Sarah Layton.

Sarah Layton is an award-winning jewellery boutique situated in the heart of the picturesque Ribble Valley.

They came to Velstar looking for a Visual Soft to Shopify migration, an elevated User Experience, and a slick visual revamp.

My role consisted of leading the UX/UI Design and the Art Direction for their 2022/23 campaign.

My primary aim was to create a visually captivating website that showcases the beauty and quality of products while ensuring a seamless user experience.

To achieve this, I closely collaborated with the client to understand their brand and aesthetic preferences. Using their input, I developed a clean, elegant, and modern design that emphasises the sophistication and luxury of their products.

The colour scheme was thoughtfully selected to complement the jewellery, with soft beiges, whites, and golds dominating the design.

To enhance user experience, I optimised the website’s layout and navigation, making it easier for customers to explore and find products. I also introduced a diamond-shape guide, educating users about the differences between shapes in their diamond rings – followed with a suite of illustrated icons demonstrating this.

The outcome of these UI design improvements was a visually stunning, user-friendly website that increased customer engagement and time spent on the site.
